The spring is finally here in the south of France! We have cherry, peach, and apricot blossoms everywhere now. It's a bit early for the lavender, but soon they say. I celebrated the arrival of spring with a few dabs of painting.

this is really nice, joanna! i like the texture of the blossoms, as well as the variation in color/shading on the ground... what kind of paint did you use?
Thanks Cindy! I hesitated to use watercolor initially, but ended up using the acrylic which I like.
yes, nice painting. I also like how you painted the cherry blossom tree. It has a soft snowy feel to it. I love how the cherry blossom petals fall/dance in the wind. I also like the brilliance of the blue mounds.
