Greg was brushing his teeth and the hallway was dark except for the light spilling out from the bathroom. Jake plopped himself down in the doorway and I snapped a shot.
nice capture. i like how well jake is lit by the bathroom lights and how it fads to dark as you go down the hall. cool pic. from the previous photo, i thought jake and elwood were orange tabby cats. something about the fur pattern on the nap photo. either way, very cute! his fur looks very soft in this photo.
i agree w/ sukogirl about how it fades to dark... it's neat to see how much light there is spilling out into the hallway---it has a nice soft quality to it... i can add separate tags for jake and elwood under our categories... :)
another great portrait! i love the look in his eyes, how he seems quite alert and focused on something outside the shot, while his body appears completely relaxed. i also like how the bright detail in the carpet fades to a blur towards the end of the hallway. lovely lighting, as the others have said.
thanks everyone! Yup, they're medium and dark gray tabby cats. And since "cat fanciers" refer to gray as "blue", we named them after the blues brothers :).
