lucy and the cookies
This is Lucy. She's a bouncy crazy little puppy. Because she's a brand new doggie, she's exploring everything. After being freshly hatched from my own design (borrowing the idea of the legs from Lumpy), she wandered all over the house and found these homemade felt fortune cookies. What a great Sunday!

awww, i love lucy... :) i like her bright pattern and colors, they work well together. i also like the shapes you came up with---the nose and long tail work nicely, and i like the covered feet too. did you make the fortune cookies too? those are a really cute idea too, do they have real fortunes inside? are they made of felt too?
oh, and i also like how you told a little story, it was something i wanted to try... making cartoon strips/panels with stuff i've made... nice job!
I made the fortune cookies our of basic felt. They were heaps easy to make. These have fake fortunes but you could easily put real ones in. I put fake ones for show.
On my way to the fabric store to buy the thread for the felt, I decided they really needed to be put in noodle boxes, like from a take-a-way restaurant. I found small boxes that hold six cookies each. I had to buy 5 boxes, but I think they'd make easy gifts for dinner hosts. We are almost never invited to dinner though!
Lucy is totally cute! And the fortune cookies as host/ess gift thing is a cool idea!
oh dear. that is just too cute.
what a cute hotdog! the fabric is great and i really like her nose.
